Judo For Schools Instructor Spotlight
Our instructors have over 20 years Judo experience each and have competed at National level as well as teaching Judo. They teach in local schools both in curriculum time and before/after school activities. Our Instructors are currently working work with able bodied and special needs children. There are high numbers of children in each group and our aim is to promote Judo as an art, as well as improving the children’s ABC – Agility, Balance and Co-ordination.
Judo classes are promoted by doing taster sessions in the schools, either through school assemblies or by using the school facilities for a morning or afternoon, thus allowing for the whole school to participate by year group.
The aim of this schools work is to actively promote Judo and entice children into participating in Judo at club level.
Outside of the school environment, our instructors coach British Schools and British Champions; they are also working with members of the Pre-cadet and Cadet England squads.
We are actively involved in providing work experience placements for local students, as well as the provision of instructors for GCSE P-E practical assessments.
Judo for Schools is affiliated with Judo Club Osaka, which operates out of Fight Science Gym (previously the Maida Gymnasium) in Aldershot.
